The Israeli military says that at 4:30 a.m. local time on Sunday, it hit Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon with 100 rockets. The Israeli army claimed that Hezbollah was preparing to attack Israel in about half an hour.
After that, in retaliation, Hezbollah fired about 320 missiles at northern Israel And also targeted 11 locations with drones. Hezbollah has named this attack as ‘Phase-One’. They further said that their today’s target was fulfilled. Lebanon’s Ministry of Health says that 3 people have been killed in the Israeli attack, while on the other hand, no major damage has been reported from Israel.
Hezbollah also says that it carried out these attacks in retaliation for the killing of its senior commander Fuad Shukar.
More than 60,000 people have been displaced from northern Israel due to Hezbollah attacks. According to an estimate, the number of people displaced in southern Lebanon is even higher
According to Israel’s claim of 100 missile strikes, this is the biggest clash between Israel and Hezbollah since 2006. Benjamin Netanyahu says we are committed to bringing people back to their homes. He also said, “Whoever harms us, we will harm them.”
Hezbollah’s chief Hassan Nasarullah has given a televised address and he said that the group had targeted an Israeli base near Tel Aviv. He also said that Hezbollah sent drones to Israel from Bekaa region for the first time. It may lead a Hezbollah and Israel War which will creat an unrest in the region.
